Solution

Almost everyone and everything emits scents which can be used to identify and analyze the materials, objects and people. Today, it is complicated to analyze this scent. Gas chromatography is an excellent way to identify the composition of a gas or material. Unfortunately, the cost for gas chromatography is significant (often over one million dollars for a complete solution) and the diagnosis can be slow (takes approximately 10-30 min per run).
Another way to identify volatile compounds is via a so-called electronic nose. An electronic nose is a system of sensors, signal processing system and advanced algorithms which is used to identify different scents / smells – with the idea is to mimic the human olfactory system.
NoseLabs has developed an electronic nose with superior capabilities (please see reference cases for real life examples) delivered through three distinct steps;

1.Sample is placed in a cup and scent from the sample passes through the air intake

2.Several different sensors respond to volatile compounds with electrical signals – a fingerprint for the analyzed material

3.Advanced algorithms evaluates the analyzed sample against a database of fingerprints and provides the user with a clear answer

noselabs_electronic_nose_processLorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).Almost everyone and everything emits scents which can be used to identify and analyze the materials, objects and people.
